Clarity Comes Before Change.

What you need is someone who isn’t in the picture. You need a space where you can be heard by someone without an agenda, without a stake in your decisions, and without an opinion on what your outcome should look like. These sessions draw on ancient wisdom we’ve refined over years of personal and professional work, the foundations of which are shared in our book, Rebecoming. But you don’t need to study anything or have any answers ready before we meet, as we will guide you through the process, gently, every step of the way.

All you need to bring is yourself.

What you’ll leave with:

  • You’ll begin to understand your feelings rather than just being swept up in them. This session helps you listen to what they are actually saying, so they stop feeling like an overwhelming wave and start acting as a helpful guide. Instead of needing to suppress, manage, or push past your emotions, you’ll learn to see them as signals, clearly pointing the way toward what truly needs your attention.
  • You’ll begin to make sense of the feelings that keep returning, the reactions that catch you off guard, and the situations that seem to play out the same way time and again. There is a hidden pattern beneath it all, and together, we will help you finally see what it is.
  • You’ll leave with something truly rare: a clear, compassionate picture of where you actually are in your life right now. You will understand the emotions you’ve been carrying, what they have been trying to tell you, and finally see why that heaviness has been so difficult to shift on your own.

Two ways to do this

Make It Make Sense may be right for you if:

  • You’ve been feeling stuck, weighed down, or confused and you’re ready to understand the “why” behind it all.
  • Something is stirring inside you. You can feel its presence, but you can’t quite put a name to it yet.
  • You’re experiencing strong reactions that feel out of proportion to what’s happening on the surface.
  • You’ve been carrying a heaviness for a long time and, while you aren’t sure what it is, you know it’s becoming too much to hold alone.
  • You are simply looking for clarity and a sense of relief from the weight of your current emotions.

make it make sense may not be right for you if:

  • You’re looking for a quick fix or techniques designed to suppress and push away what you’re feeling.
  • You are currently in a mental health crisis. While this work is deeply supportive, it isn’t a substitute for crisis care. If you are struggling right now, please reach out to a mental health professional first.

Come and spend a day with us in the company of like-minded people. During this guided session, both of us will be by your side to support you every step of the way. The day is designed to be honest and real, but you will never be put on the spot; you’ll simply work at your own pace alongside others who are here for the very same reasons you are.

There is a unique power in the group setting that many find unexpectedly liberating. Often, simply hearing someone else put words to a feeling you’ve been living with quietly for years brings its own profound sense of relief and release.

Practical Things Worth Knowing:

This is reflective work, and it can be quietly tiring in a way you might not expect. Eat well before you arrive. Bring a refillable water bottle and keep sipping throughout the day. Wear something comfortable and bring a notebook and pen.

The day usually leaves people feeling lighter, with a clearer sense of what’s been weighing on them. Some leave thoughtfully and quiet. Some leave with more energy than they came with. Both are normal.

In the evening, take it gently. You may find that your thoughts keep turning over what came up during the day, even after you’ve gone home. That’s the work continuing. Try not to pack the evening with too much. A walk, a quiet meal, an early night and maybe a few minutes with your notebook before you go to sleep.

Come and sit with both of us for a two-hour session dedicated entirely to you. This is a chance to have a truly honest conversation in a safe, gentle space, where you are fully supported as you speak about things you may have never said out loud before.

We arrive without an agenda, bringing only our ability to truly hear what you are saying. Our role is simply to sit with you and help you see your own story more clearly than you have been able to on your own.

Because two people working together do something one person alone can’t. One of Steve’s strengths is that he sees the patterns, such as how things connect, why you react the way you do, and what’s actually going on underneath. One of Cilla’s strengths is her ability to notice what isn’t being said. She picks up on the things you might not know you’re feeling, and her warmth helps you say them when you’re ready.

Practical Things Worth Knowing:

Since this is emotional work rather than just thinking work, it can be more tiring than you might expect. To support yourself through the process, we recommend eating well before your session and bring a refillable water bottle to stay hydrated. Most importantly, please wear something comfortable and bring a jumper or wrap; even on a warm day, the process of releasing emotions can often leave you feeling a bit chilly.

Be gentle with yourself. You may feel physically tired while your mind stays busy processing the work you have done. This is completely normal. We recommend keeping your calendar clear for the rest of the day/evening to give yourself the time and space you need. Whether it’s a quiet walk, a long bath, or an early night, prioritise your own company. Resist the urge to talk it all through with friends or family immediately; sometimes this work needs to settle quietly inside you before it can be shared.
