HEAD-TO-HEART HEALING
This is where the real work happens.
Understanding is not the same as Release
Make It Make Sense helped you see what you have been carrying. You understand it now. You can name it. You know where it came from and why it has been so hard to shift.
But understanding is not the same as releasing.
You can spend years understanding your pain, mapping the patterns, tracing them to their origins, naming every mechanism and still carry the wound. Insight opens the door. It does not walk you through it.
Head-to-Heart Healing™ is what walks you through it.
What Head-to-Heart Healing Is
Head-to-Heart Healing™ is guided emotional release.
Not therapy. Not counselling. Not coaching. A specific, practical, step-by-step path from recognising your emotional wounds to actually putting them down.
It is delivered as either a two-day workshop or a series of three-hour private sessions, with both Steve and Cilla guiding you throughout. The method draws on practices that people have used for emotional healing across cultures for centuries refined through years of personal use and practical experience with participants. It is the method at the centre of everything we do.
It is called Head-to-Heart Healing because that is exactly what it describes. Emotional wounds begin in the mind, in the meanings we gave to painful experiences, the stories we told ourselves to survive them, the protective patterns we built around them. Healing begins there too, with understanding. But understanding alone is not enough. The journey has to move downward from the head and into the heart, where the actual release happens.
What makes this work different is that it does not just help you cope with what you are carrying. It helps you release it.
Most people have never experienced what that actually feels like. This is where they find out.
The two steps – and why both matter
Step 1 — Head: Seeing and naming your wounds
Before anything can be released it has to be seen. Properly. Not as a vague sense of heaviness or a general pattern but as the specific wound, the specific meaning, the specific story that formed around a painful experience and has been quietly running your life ever since.
This is the recognition stage. Your mind illuminates the path. You recognise the wound, understand its shape, and come to know what it is you have been carrying.
Step 2 — Heart: Where real healing happens
Once you have seen the wound clearly you move from the mind into the body and the heart. This is a different kind of knowing — deeper than analysis, quieter than thought. In this step you feel the buried emotions, release the old thoughts, and allow space for something new to emerge. Your mind has done its job. Now your heart completes the journey.
Understanding a wound is not the same as healing it. The head opens the door. The heart walks you through it.
What the process uses
The tools of Head-to-Heart Healing™ are drawn from established practices and have been refined through years of personal experience and use with participants. You will not study these tools — you will use them, with Steve and Cilla guiding you throughout.
Discovery Writing — a sustained, unedited writing practice that bypasses your protective patterns and brings what is underneath directly onto the page.
Ho’oponopono — an ancient Hawaiian practice of reconciliation that helps restore harmony within yourself and your relationships. Particularly powerful for wounds involving specific people.
The Love Letter Method — a practice of reconnecting with yourself through the voice of unconditional love and wisdom.
The Raven Method — using the mind’s natural intelligence to gather new evidence for more empowering beliefs, gradually shifting the lens through which you see your past.
The Guardians Method — working with your inner protective parts, the Wolf, the Bear, and others — understanding what each has been protecting you from, and at what cost.
Finding the Lessons — discovering the wisdom and strength hidden within difficult experiences, without minimising what happened or pretending it did not hurt.
What this is and isn’t
This is guided emotional release work. It is a structured, practical method for putting down what you have been carrying delivered with two experienced facilitators beside you throughout.
It is not therapy and does not treat mental health conditions. It is not counselling. It is not coaching, and it is not concerned with goals or performance. It is not a substitute for clinical or medical care. If that is what you need right now, please seek it first.
What it is, is the part most approaches leave out. Most ways of working with emotional pain stop at understanding. Head-to-Heart Healing begins where understanding ends and takes you the rest of the way.
Is this right for you?
Head-to-Heart Healing is right for you if:
You have done some work on yourself and feel ready to go deeper than understanding. You have attended Make It Make Sense and want to take the next step. You have been carrying something for a long time and are genuinely ready to put it down, not just understand it better. You want to experience real release, not just insight. You are willing to be uncomfortable in order to get free.
Head-to-Heart Healing is not right for you if:
You are not yet ready to feel what has been buried, and that is alright. Make It Make Sense is the right starting point. This work is deep, it is honest, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you need clinical or medical support please seek that first.
THE WORKSHOP
The complete process, delivered in a small group with Steve and Cilla.
Day one – See it clearly
Before anything can be released it has to be seen. Through guided teaching, reflection, and practical exercises you will work through the recognition stage of the process, mapping your emotional landscape with a precision most people have never applied to themselves before.
You will identify what you have actually been carrying and understand where it came from. See why the protective patterns you developed made complete sense at the time, and why those same patterns are now the very thing holding you back.
Most people leave day one having named something they have been carrying for years. That alone is significant. But day one is preparation for day two which is where everything changes.
Day two — Go through it
Understanding is not the same as releasing. This is where most approaches stop. This is where we start.
Day two takes you through the processing and release stages of the work. That means moving past intellectual understanding to actually feeling what has been buried. Discovering, usually with some surprise, that what you have avoided feeling is not as overwhelming as you feared.
Emotions held at arm’s length for years – sometimes decades – are not the monsters they appeared to be from a distance. When you finally allow them to move through rather than staying stuck, what follows is not collapse. It is relief. Lightness. A quality of spaciousness that is hard to describe until you have felt it.
By the end of day two most people feel noticeably different. Not because something dramatic occurred. Because something that has been sitting heavy for a long time finally moved.

Upcoming Dates:
Our workshops fill up quickly so leave your email address below and we will make sure you are the first to know as soon as our next dates are released. We would love to have you join us.
What to expect
This workshop is intensive. You will be challenged. You will also be held. We create a space safe enough for people to be real, to feel things they have avoided, to say things they have never said and to finally face what has been buried. The group is small enough that everyone gets personal attention, and the pace allows for genuine depth.
THE INDIVIDUAL SESSIONS
The complete process, focused entirely on you.
Some people know from the outset that a group setting is not right for them. Not because they are private (though privacy matters too) but because they know that what they are carrying is specific enough, layered enough, or simply important enough to deserve undivided attention.
If that is you, this is the alternative.
Three-hour two-to-one sessions with both Steve and Cilla working through the complete Head-to-Heart Healing process at a depth and pace that is entirely personal to you.
In a group the work moves at a shared pace. In an individual session it moves at yours, with Steve and Cilla drawing on everything they hear, notice, and feel to guide you through what is actually there.
- Two-to-one,with both Steve and Cilla
- All sessions are 3 hours
- 2–4 weeks between sessions
- Payment plans available

Why both Steve and Cilla
Because two people working together creates something one person working alone cannot.
Steve brings a structured, analytical quality. He is particularly skilled at seeing the architecture of a pattern, hearing the logic behind a reaction, and helping people understand the connections between things they thought were separate.
Cilla brings deep emotional attunement. She notices what isn’t being said, hears what is underneath the words, and creates the warmth and safety that allows truth to surface without force.
Together they cover ground that neither covers alone. Everything in the room is about you.
What to expect
This work is intensive. You will be challenged. You will also be held. We create a space safe enough for you to be real, to feel things you have avoided, to say things you have never said and to finally face what has been buried. Personal attention allows for genuine depth.

The workshop or the individual sessions
Both take you through the complete Head-to-Heart Healing process. The question is which format is right for you.
The workshop delivers the complete process in a concentrated two-day group experience. The energy of a small group of people doing the same work simultaneously offers something individual sessions cannot, a quality of shared honesty and mutual recognition that many people find unexpectedly powerful.
The individual sessions deliver the same process privately, over time, with everything focused entirely on you. For people whose wounds are particularly layered or complex, who need more personal attention, or who simply know that a group setting is not right for them, individual sessions are the right choice.
Some people do both, the workshop first to go through the complete process in full, individual sessions afterwards to continue working with what came up.
Different work. Different moments. Both available when you are ready.
