The Inner Work

Join Our Free Online Group Sessions

Uncover what’s really running your life & learn how to break free – free online group sessions exploring emotional baggage & conditioning.

That feeling of living on autopilot? The exhausting patterns that keep repeating? The sense that you’re carrying invisible weight? These aren’t random – they’re signs of emotional baggage and conditioning at work.

Every other Monday evening, we explore one specific way your past wounds or social conditioning might be controlling your present. No fluff, no quick fixes – just real insight into the hidden forces shaping your life.

How Each Session Works

Recognition (15 mins) We identify one common pattern – like the need for approval, fear of abandonment, or the pressure to be constantly productive. You’ll discover:

  • How this pattern developed to protect an old wound
  • Which “guardian” (your Wolf’s control or Bear’s reactions) is running the show
  • How society or family conditioning reinforces this pattern

Understanding (45 mins) Through open conversation, we go deeper:

  • What emotional wound lies beneath this protective pattern?
  • How has conditioning taught you to act this way?
  • What would life look like without this invisible weight? Ask questions, share if you want, or simply listen as others’ stories illuminate your own patterns.

You Leave With:

  • Recognition of one piece of emotional baggage you’ve been carrying
  • Understanding of how conditioning keeps this pattern active
  • A taste of Head-to-Heart Healing – moving from knowing to feeling
  • Simple tools to start shifting from autopilot to conscious choice

These Sessions Are For You If:

  • You sense you’re living someone else’s life, not your own
  • You keep repeating patterns despite wanting to change
  • You’re curious about what emotional wounds might be running your life
  • You want to understand how you’ve been conditioned – and how to break free

What We Explore:

Drawing from our book “Rebecoming,” each session addresses how emotional baggage and conditioning work together:

  • Your “protection system” and why it keeps you stuck
  • How childhood wounds shape adult patterns
  • The difference between your conditioned self and your real self
  • Why awareness alone isn’t enough – you need to feel to heal

What to Bring: Just yourself and curiosity about your inner world. Have a notebook handy if you like. Camera on or off – your choice. Share or listen – no pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

What exactly is “The Inner Work”?
It’s a free, online group session where we look at a specific pattern that keeps people stuck in life (like perfectionism, people-pleasing, or self-doubt). We start by understanding the pattern, then the remaining time is spent in conversation, sharing experiences and practical tools for change.

Do I need to have my camera on or share personal details?
No. You can keep your camera off and just listen if you prefer. Many people do this for their first few sessions. You’re never put on the spot or required to share anything.

Is this group therapy?
No, this isn’t therapy. It’s more like a supportive conversation where we explore common patterns that affect many of us. Cilla and Steve share insights from their work and participants can ask questions or share experiences if they choose.

What if I miss a session? Do they build on each other?
Each session is completely standalone. We explore a different pattern each time, so you can drop in whenever works for you. There’s no sequence to follow.

How is this different from your paid workshops?
These free sessions give you a taste of our approach and some practical tools. The workshops go much deeper, with structured exercises and personal breakthrough work. Think of these sessions as the introduction, workshops as the full journey.

I’m not sure I have any “blocks” or “patterns” – is this still relevant?
If you’ve ever felt frustrated by repeating the same situations, struggled with boundaries, or wondered why certain things trigger you, then yes. We all have patterns – these sessions help you spot them.

What technology do I need?
Just a device with an Internet connection. We use Google Meet, and you’ll receive the link after registering. You can join by computer, tablet, or phone.

Can I attend regularly or is it just for newcomers?
Both! Some people come once to get a feel for our work, others attend regularly as ongoing support. Each session explores something different, so regulars always gain new insights.

What kind of people typically attend?
People from all walks of life – professionals feeling stuck in their careers, parents struggling with boundaries, individuals navigating life transitions. Ages typically range from 25-65. The common thread is being ready to look within rather than blame circumstances.

Will you try to sell me something?
We’ll mention our workshops and other offerings at the end, but there’s zero pressure. Many people attend these free sessions for months without ever booking anything else, and that’s absolutely fine.

How big is the group?
Usually between 10-30 people. Large enough for rich discussion, small enough to feel intimate and safe.

What if I’m dealing with serious mental health issues?
While our work can be deeply supportive, it’s not therapy. Our work is based on ancient wisdom traditions and is not intended as a substitute for professional mental health care.

Can I bring a friend?
Absolutely! Many people find it helpful to attend with someone they trust. Just make sure they register separately so we have accurate numbers.

What time zone is this in?
All sessions are 7-8.30pm UK time (GMT/BST depending on season). The time will automatically adjust in your calendar when you register.

How do I prepare for the session?
No preparation is needed. Just show up as you are. Having a notebook handy can be useful for jotting down insights, but even that’s optional.
